We are officially done tracking the new album and will be sending it off to be mixed in a few weeks.  We are really excited with how everything sounds so far and can’t wait to hear the final product!  There is still a lot to do including mixing, mastering, artwork, pressing, and promotion so our label, Insubordination Records, is looking at releasing it in May or June of next year.  We will keep you updated on the progress and eventually get together some sort of sampler to hold everyone over until the real thing is ready.

Hey everybody! We’ve been pretty quiet for a while because we’ve been hard at work preparing for and recording our new album. Drums and bass are all done and we leave tomorrow to finish the rest in Nashville at our friend Wyatt’s studio.

We just got a last minute show at The Ottobar this coming Monday with our good friends Sybris from Chicago.  Since it’s a weeknight we’ll make it worth your while and will be playing a brand new song.  Hope to see you there!

Next weekend is Insubordination Fest and we’re playing Saturday afternoon at Sonar.  If you like 90’s style pop punk with some other fun bands mixed in between (like us!), it is the place to be in Baltimore this weekend!  The fest starts Thursday at The Recher Theatre, continues Friday at The Ottobar, and ends on Sat at Sonar.  Be sure to check out the full schedule because there are a ton of awesome bands.

And lastly, we are finishing our last set of demos and will start recording the album on July 14. We’ll be starting with drums at Magpie Cage Studios so stayed tuned!

Our lovely Katie and dear friend Adam from Avec are getting married this weekend!  To celebrate we’re going to have a “reception show” on Sunday at The Metro Gallery.  It’s in part an opportunity for family who usually don’t see Katie & Adam’s band to see them play.  It’s also a party for our friends and fans who are unable to make the wedding/real reception, so anyone is more than welcome to come!  Our good friends Second Saturday will be in town for the wedding so they’ll be playing the show too!  It’s going to be a great time – hope to see you there!

Big thanks to everyone who came out to our shows throughout the US this past month and back home at Fletcher’s last Friday.  Now we’re going to focus on finishing songs for our new album that we plan to begin recording in July.  We’ve also got a few shows lined up for May and June so check out our myspace or the shows page for details.

Karmella’s Game is pleased to announce that we will be joining forces with Maryland’s own Insubordination Records!  They will be re-releasing our back catalog (maybe even on vinyl!) and taking over distribution of both cds, as well as possibly releasing our next record!  We are also in the early stages of planning our first ever trip to the West coast so keep your eyes peeled for tour dates in the spring.

We’re excited to have finished demoing 6 new songs.  We’re currently working on writing more and hope to begin recording a new album next summer.  In the meantime we’ll be rotating the new stuff in our live set so you can let us know what you think!

We’re back from the Midwest and had a great time.  Thanks to all of our old and new friends that we saw/met along the way.  This was our last tour of the year so now we can change gears to focus on writing and demoing new material.  In other news, we’re excited to find out that we have won Best Band Website from The City Paper’s Best of Baltimore this year!
